Toqi Zargaron

      Toqi Zargaron  traditional covered bazaar in the historical center of Bukhara, in Uzbekistan. It was built in the 16th century, more precisely in 1586-1587, during the reign of Abdullah Khan II from the Uzbek Sheibanid dynasty. The largest among several ancient covered bazaars of Bukhara, and the most complex in construction and arrangement in the city. Until the middle of the 20th century, it was used as an ordinary bazaar, where mainly jewelry was sold, but part of the bazaar was used as a regular bazaar, where various accessories were sold. The building of the covered bazaar was built in the traditional Persian style, and is no different from similar covered traditional bazaars of the ancient cities of Iran, such as Tehran, Isfahan, Shiraz, Tabriz or Mashhad. Toqi Telpak Furushon

       The  Toqi Telpak Furushon  (Uzbek:   Toqi Telpakfurushon ) is a bazaar located in Bukhara , which forms part of its historic centre. The Toqi Telpak Furushon was built between 1570 and 1571.  Books were originally offered there, which is why the bazaar was also called Toqi Kitob. Gradually, the bookstalls were replaced by workshops and shops of the hat sellers. Turbans, fur hats and small caps embroidered with gold and silk thread or glass beads were made there and offered for sale. Although these goods can still be found there, carpets, jewellery, knives, musical instruments and other travel souvenirs are also sold.   The Toki-Sarrafon is one of Bukhara’s four remained bazaars. This trading dome was used mostly for money exchange during the era of the Silk Road. Indian shop owners frequently exchanged money inside this bazaar. The site is no longer a money exchange center, but it now has lots of great shops where you can pick up interesting souvenirs.
